On a recent trip into Akron I was able to get some nice photos of the diesel shop at the former AC&Y yard. Thanks to the Wheeling & Lake Erie yardmaster for allowing me to photograph there. At least I should be able to reproduce this part of the building reasonably accurate. The other half of the building has since been torn down. It is visible in the 70’s era picture below. Perhaps the AC&YHS will have additional information about this missing part of the diesel shop.
